Delete your Workpool account
Last updated 5 October 2026
You can delete your Workpool account yourself at any time, from the phone app or the web app. Deleting it is permanent and cannot be undone.
In the phone app (iPhone or Android)
- Sign in to Workpool.
- Open More > Settings.
- Scroll to Delete account and tap Delete account….
- Type your email address to confirm, then tap Delete my account and confirm.
If you signed in with Apple, your iPhone asks you to confirm with Apple once more, so we can also disconnect Workpool from your Apple ID.
On the web
- Sign in at the Workpool sign-in page.
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to Delete account, type your email address, and confirm.
If you cannot sign in
Email hello@crazinerd.com from the address your account uses and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address before we delete anything.
Before you delete: workspaces you own
If you are the only owner of a workspace that other people still use, deletion is paused until you make someone else an owner (Administration > Members, change their role to Owner) or remove the other members. This keeps a team's workspace from being left without anyone in charge.
What is deleted
- Your account: name, email address, password, profile details and picture, and Google or Apple sign-in links.
- Your sessions, registered devices and push notification tokens, and two-factor settings.
- Mailboxes you connected, their saved credentials, and the email synced from them.
- Your chat messages, task, document and file comments, and email notes.
- Your notifications, time entries, clock entries and leave records.
- Approval requests you made or were asked to approve, including any still waiting for a decision. Ask your team to re-request anything still needed.
- The list of people you blocked in chat, and any blocks others placed on you.
- Every workspace where you are the only member, with everything in it (projects, tasks, documents, files, contacts and settings).
What is kept
- In workspaces other people still use, the documents, files, email templates and shared calendar events you created stay with the team, so your teammates' work is not lost. They are handed to one of that workspace's owners or, if no owner is left, to its most senior remaining member, never to a guest or client. If only guests or clients are left, that content is deleted with your account. Calendar events only you attend are deleted. Tasks assigned to you become unassigned.
- Messages you reported and support requests you sent stay with our support team so they can finish handling them. They are no longer linked to your account, and your name and email address are removed from your message reports.
- Security records: those workspaces' audit logs keep an entry that your account was deleted (with your name and email address), and our sign-in log keeps the time, IP address and device of past sign-ins to your email address. These are kept for security and accountability, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Deleted data can remain in our rolling database backups for up to fourteen (14) days, after which those backups are deleted in the ordinary course.
Subscriptions
If a workspace deleted with your account has a paid plan billed through PayFast (bought on the web or from the Android app), that subscription is cancelled automatically. A subscription bought in the iPhone app through the App Store is managed by Apple and is not cancelled by deleting your account: cancel it in your App Store subscription settings.
